The Festive Season

Christmas is a time for magic and enchanting our homes with festive decorations and treasured memories. ‘Tis the season for roaring fires and hearty wreaths, a time for family and friends to fill our homes with joy.

With just four sleeps to go, we thought we would share a few ideas that are perfect if you’ve managed to set aside some time to enjoy last-minute moments, such as going on a festive Winter walk or cosying up by the fire to catch up on a good book.

Luckily for us, we’re spoilt for choice in the Cotswolds, with one of our favourite spots being the picturesque village of Broadway. After a brisk walk up to the famous Broadway Tower, you’ll find an amazing selection of quintessential pubs in the village to choose from.

If you would rather stay at home and get ahead on the preparation for your festive baking, Waitrose has a selection of seasonal delights that will be enjoyed by all.

Finally, we just couldn’t resist sharing these wonderful images by Olivia Silk and Melanie Lissack Interiors, showcasing their festive living room stylings. Both Olivia and Melanie took part in Revamp Restyle Reveal earlier in the year and featured our Hyde 12 light pendant in their living rooms. We think you’ll agree that the same light adds an entirely different finishing touch to the two alternative rooms.

Olivia, founder of Lust Living, echoes a strong influence of contemporary style, encompassing traditional features enhanced by her choice of colour palette.

Melanie lives in a beautiful period home, with a timeless décor style. Our solid brass Hyde pendant introduces a modern touch, demonstrating versatility. Click here to read her recent blog post detailing 7 simple Christmas styling ideas.

Our craftspeople and customer service teams have been busy creating and delivering our unique lighting ready for the festive season, and it’s time for our annual break.

Our offices will close from 1pm on Friday 21st December 2018 and reopen on Wednesday 02 January 2019. Any enquiries will be dealt with promptly on our return.

Best wishes for the holiday season, from all of us at David Hunt Lighting.
