Who doesn’t love a before and after transformation? We were delighted to work with 10 of the UK’s most influential bloggers and interior stylists earlier in the year for Revamp Restyle Reveal, Season 2 and we couldn’t resist showing you the incredible living room transformation styled and designed by Olivia Silk, founder of Lust Living.

Lust Living is an on-trend lifestyle blog dedicated to interiors, DIY, travel and lifestyle. If you follow Olivia on Instagram, you’ll understand just how much love she has for her dogs, something that we absolutely adore. This is exactly where the design for Olivia's revamp began; a built-in bed for her furry friends.

As you’ll see from Olivia’s mood board, her chosen colour palette was an eclectic mix between charcoal grey and cupcake pink tones, a dramatic change from the previously neutral walls. ‘Trilby’ by Earthborn Paints really enhances the depth of the shelves in the alcoves and gives the room a lot more character. The feature fireplace and chimney breast look stylish in ‘Cupcake’, a pale pink, which really compliments the dark walls. Olivia has shown that it pays to be brave with your paint choices; try a few sample colours and if you think it will work – go for it! The correct application of paint colour can bring a room to life and it really helps to create an oasis in your chosen space. If you are planning to redecorate in the Autumn months then start choosing your paint colours now; you might be surprised at how long it can take to debate between options.

We love the Earth Born Paint Collection, fellow sponsors of Revamp Restyle Reveal and of course you can’t go wrong with the fabulous Farrow and Ball palette.

After the walls had been painted, Olivia chose a statement radiator by Soak.com. Who knew that a radiator could completely change the entire look of a room? We love the style of Soak’s original radiators, which come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Olivia opted for a white radiator which work so perfectly with the ‘Trilby’ paint, it’s created a timeless feature within this beautiful room.

Following the Soak statement radiator is where we came in…with a decorative statement light of course. The styling of Olivia’s living room looked contemporary with traditional features, therefore her decision to include our Hyde 12 light pendant was a great choice. The Hyde transcends modern design with brass accents and a selection of colour choices for the metal shades; making it versatile to suit varying design schemes and both domestic or hospitality application. Handmade from solid brass and available as a 6light, 12light or 18light ceiling pendant with matching single or double wall lights and bespoke options available; the Hyde Collection is one to watch for AW18.

Once the lighting had been installed there was one more wall for Olivia to revamp and it’s a good one. Featuring the Style Library’s Harlequin Collection, Makrana Rose Quartz, Olivia enhanced bold tones with this incredible marble wall paper. In keeping with the pink, gold and brass features in the rest of the room, this wall paper was the perfect finishing touch.

Whether you’re planning a minor refresh or a total refurb, there are so many elements to home décor for you to explore and experiment with. We would highly recommend reading all of the blogs from Revamp Restyle Reveal for some great inspirational content and don’t hesitate to contact us or one of our wonderful stockists for lighting advice.
